Dice, Dice Baby by John Carey

Love the events taught. I have done most of them over time. But now I care a few dice in my pocket.

I carry one in a small coin purse with a coin. Or I carry four in the bag they give you. Gives you great idea's on the instructions.

The included video teaching is very good. I think it's a great magic! I'm very happy with it!

I recently purchased this and I'm glad I did. All of the routines are fairly straight forward and with a bit of practice I was able to perform them quite quickly. Whilst you get an array of ungimmicked dice, you can perform more than one of the routines using the same dice. This is perfect if you want to perform for friends at a moments notice without repeating the same trick.

I liked it because it had the two elements one off slight of hand the other mentalism to give a bit of a challenge and easy to do.

Fun and easy to do which allows more concentration on presentation. The innovative presentational ideas and language application taught towards the equivoque makes this well worth the price. There are many routines to chose from that makes it versatile and fun to perform

All tricks are demonstrated and explained clearly.
They do not take up a lot of room in your pocket and can be carried around easily.
Anyone can do these tricks with a minimum of practice.

I have to say, this is an EXCELLENT trick.

Absolutely love John Carey's Dice Dice Baby. A nice twist on some magical classics. Something for everyone from mentalism to visual magic. Love the coloured dice and John has thought through some great routines that make the most of these props. Perfect to have handy for the casual performance or to have prepared for a close up set.

This proved to be a great way to get into dice, so that I can handle something other than cards at a table. A couple of them can even be used in walk-around. John Carey makes everything simple to learn. I like everything he does.

Energetic John Carey demonstrates a variety of fun dice effects that mix mentalism and magic. If you want something off the beaten path from coins and cards, this will get you on a different roll!

Young magicians will be disappointed when they get the equipment' that's fine' It is the routining and the use of dice that make this equipment worth the money. Too often the simple and, to be honest, 'easy' effects that use no gimmicked equipment slay the lay audience. Most magicians won't be fooled, but the routines outlined in the instructions are quite amazing for the lay people, and because you are using dice, interesting. The dice are well made, polished to a high sheen, and have the pleasing rounded corners. The small clasp purse used in the routines is easily obtained from most any 'flea market' and to be truthful, if you have been in magic longer than this morning, you most likely have a clasp change purse in the 'I don't use that' drawer. A nice set of routines, and because the dice are made in the particular color scheme that they are, you can easily come up with at least three or four other uses for them' a good product at a fair price' instructions are online, but that seems to be the way of the future. I am old school (really old' like 1960's old) school, but I have adapted to the new format. I give it five stars...

It was interesting to get effects featuring dice presenting attractive items in a velvet bag. Many of the effects were based on the same principal but it was interesting to see this applied in various ways. I was surprised John didn't include an effect using the spots or their numbers in some way, say in adding the opposite sides and halving - but you can't have everything.

Classic effects (such as coins across) adapted to dice. These routines are meant to entertain a lay audience, not fool magicians, and I like most of them.

Well-known cardman John Carey does a great job bringing together and/or modifying existing tricks that fit dice. It's especially good in teaching tricks involving equivoque, with unique finishes. For example, I love "Dice Wave:, where to the spectator you not only predict the color they will choose among four dice, but wipe the colors off the other three. And even better for me is "A Perfect 6!", where you pick all 6 choices made by the spectator. I immediately added the latter to my regular man-purse of tricks that I carry. And much more.
