A BBM EXCLUSIVE VIDEO DOWNLOAD - Tom Dobrowolski picks some of his own FAVOURITE closeup routines from the acclaimed periodical ‘The Disclaimer’!
This mega bundle of SEVEN video downloads includes six absolutely killer card routines AND a bonus coin trick from Tom’s friend, the late Curtis Kam. All the material is easy to perform, using only basic sleights and ingenious construction to great effect. Tom is an affable and engaging performer, with a knack for creating what we like to call ‘party magic’ - material that is just fun, fun, fun to perform!
Pick up this special bundle today and add these these great effects to your repertoire!
Whack to the Future - The magician challenges the spectator to a game of bluff and speed. The spectator ends up having no chance, because the magician moves so fast it almost feels like time travel. You’ll learn a new technique, the DCD, which you’ll use in a lot of your card work.
A Dicey Deal - After a spectator rolls a die and then rotates it to their heart’s content, a shuffled deck is dealt out per the dice’s orientation. This results in amazing coincidences AND a winning hand. Totally self working!
I Guarantee - There’s a guarantee printed on every Bicycle Joker - and it guarantee’s a GREAT TRICK! This routine proves it by making a freely selected card VISUALLY appear inbetween two jokers.
Where’s Waldo - What starts as the world’s easiest game of ‘follow-the-card’ based on the popular children’s game quickly escalates to a surprise vanish and even bigger shock transposition.
ATIP - A new take on the Invisible Palm, without the discrepancies. No switching packets mid-stream, and the final card truly turns ‘invisible’ and reappears without going back to the deck. Or you can have the spectator make the last ‘invisible palm’ and finish the effect!
Devilish Miracle-ish ish - A new (improved?) take on the classic Marlo/D’Amico ‘Devilish Miracle’ plot. Two cards are freely selected and lost in the pack. You remove five random cards, one of which happens to be the first chosen card. The first card vanishes from the packet. A moment later it reappears facedown in the face-up cards and is set off to the side. You purport to find the second card by having it reverse itself in the deck, but it turns out to be the first card again! The card off to the side is flipped over to reveal it has transformed into the second selection! BOO-YA!
Close Hangers - a Curtis Kam CLASSIC Coin Trick well within the abilities of us mere mortals who don’t have ‘palms of steel’. It utilises Curtis’ versatile and brilliant ‘EZ Hangers’ handling, and has a great built in punch line! Fun for you and your spectators! Mahalo and aloha Curtis!

ABOUT ‘THE DISCLAIMER’: For one brief shining moment* there was “The Disclaimer”. In the tradition of The Jinx, Apocalypse, The Phoenix and Richards Almanac it was a monthly (in this case digital only) magazine. Tricks only. No advertisements. Basically, like reading a chapter from a good magic book. Every twelve months they put out a year-end hardcover book of all the material they made available to their supporters. Also every year the aesthetic would change.** Known for their unique sense of humour and style they took the magic VERY seriously but not themselves. There is a lot of wonderful magic in those pages.
Contributors included Curtis Kam, Bill Goodwin, Jack Carpenter, John Bannon, Michael Rubinstein, Bill Citino, Mark Tams, Rick Holcombe, Jeremiah Zuo, Danny Cheng, Tom Dobrowolski, Richard Hucko, David Campos, David Kuraya, Raj Madhok, Bulla Lepen, David Fragione, Luiz Castro, Michael Kekoa, Gary Goldberg, Joe Cole, Miika Lehti, Bill Wheeler Joseph Berman, Chris Rawlins, Dominic Miles, Jack Tighe, Alex Saxon, Gary Berard, Gabriel Werlen, Tyer Wilson and Albert Chou!
The Disclaimer started publishing in 2021 with three guiding principles. To continue publishing as long as people were supporting it, as long as the magic was good and not filler and as long as it was fun for the readers and the Disclaimer team. It stopped publishing in October 2025 NOT because of not meeting any of the above principles but as a victim of their own success.
Personal circumstances changed for a couple of the principal people involved so it was decided to stop publishing rather than have the quality suffer. To go out on top on their own terms. And unique to the magic periodical world they ended without owing anyone money or additional issues. Fulfilling all promised obligations.
