A BBM EXCLUSIVE VIDEO DOWNLOAD - Chris Mayhew is BACK with another banger of a project! Phantom is Chris’ take on the classic mystery card plot, where a prediction is made by the magician and a card is freely selected by a spectator,  only for the prediction to match their selection perfectly. This is a routine Chris has been sitting on for years, and he’s finally releasing it exclusively with Big Blind Media. YAYA!

In this routine, Chris has a spectator call out “stop” as he riffles down the side of the deck. The packet is then turned face up and fanned to show the spectator all the cards they could have ended on had they stopped earlier. The card where they actually stopped is then inserted face down into the face-up fan as a prediction, remaining trapped in the exact center. This packet is placed into Chris’s pocket for added security. The remainder of the deck is then spread face up, and the spectator has a completely free choice of any card they like. Whatever card they name, Chris immediately removes the packet from his pocket and spreads it to reveal that the prediction matches the spectator’s selection perfectly!

There is no prior setup required, this trick can be performed completely off the cuff and impromptu. The spectator truly has a free choice, with no forces or switches of any kind. Whatever card they choose is the card that’s used. The effect resets in seconds and can be performed standing, without a table, making it perfect for strolling magic, parties, and informal performances.

This routine is so straightforward and easy to learn that you’ll be performing it within moments of watching Chris’s thorough and entertaining teaching. In classic Mayhew fashion, Chris explores every possible angle of the effect, including alternate handlings and even a signed-card version for added impact. He leaves no stone unturned, offering practical tools and thoughtful insights to help improve your magic along the way. If you’ve ever imagined what the perfect prediction effect should look like, look no further, you’ve found it. This prediction trick is so good, it just might scare you. Caught by the ghost

Everything seems honest, natural, transparent... which obscures the mystery. Plus, it's a very pretty and very visual sleight of hand for a ghost! And also: it's very fun to play! I'm afraid this trick will become one of your favorites...like it is for me. Thanks to Chris Mayhew and BBM for the magic in real life.

10 minute watch and it's in my routine.

Such a great effect. I can't recommend this enough. I immediately replaced Maven's "Pocket Nightmare" with a signed card version of this. It saved me a deck swap and is 100% layman touch safe.

The free choice and zero gimmick method really sets this apart.
Truly perfect for a strolling/parlor routine.
