A BBM EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD VIDEO - Tom's Oil & Water routine is an absolute beaut! Multi phase, regular deck, achievable with simple sleights and a kicker that is TOTALLY NEXT LEVEL!

"Man, am I impressed with this Oil and Water routine.  The routine is great and the kicker ending is just mind blowing.  And, when I learned how to do it, I just laughed out loud.  Yes, I was fooled by the kicker and I have to say, I love it!" 9/10 Straight Talk Magic Reviews

Most Oil & Water's use a small packet of cards, but Tom's finishes with the ENTIRE DECK SEPERATING! Originally published in 2009, this is the refined, perfected version of an absolute next-level routine, and it could be the only Oil & Water you'll ever need.

* Use any deck (even borrowed)

* Multiphase

* Minimal setup required

* No gaffs or gimmicks needed

This will decimate any audience, but Tom also has a lot of fun performing this at conventions for magicians - and, once you've learnt it, you can too!

I have been a customer of BBM for a little while and I have purchased several effects. This is, by far, the best. It is something I can actually do, and I plan to. Highly recommended. If you buy nothing else, buy this.

Oiater by Tom Dobrowolski well worth the price

I'm a fan of oil & water routines so when BBM released this I thought I'd give it a try. I'm really glad I did. The routine is solid, with a brilliant kicker, and is taught very well by Mr. Dobrowolski.

I'll definitely be performing this, and I'll definitely look into more of Mr. Dobrowolski's releases.

Excellent multi-phase oil and water

The video is an accurate representation of the effect, and it really is as good as it looks. No gimmicks required! Some light sleight of hand required, and like everything else, you will need to practice this to execute it smoothly, but in my opinion it is well worth the effort. Because you end with (almost) the whole deck split into reds and blacks, with some good false shuffling you could seque into an Out of this World routine.

Excellent

Easy to do oil-and-water routine. The kicker at the end is soooo unexpected.

This is an excellent effect. I think I will add it to what I do. I found the instructions clear and entertaining. I would recommend this effect.

Solid Trick

I admit I often think of oil and water as magicians routines. We love them, lay people, I'm not sure. At any rate this is a very solid method, no gaffs or sticky stuff, etc., just a regular deck. I was fooled by the final when I watched the performance video, it is very clever. On the performance video I think the deck goes out of site for a second so you may think a switch is involved but there is not. The initial separation packet phases can be done from a shuffled deck in use but the final of course requires a set up. Skill range is low intermediate. It is not self working but quite straight forward. Teaching is good, no frills but clear. I will try it out and see if how it goes for "real people"

Highly Recommended!

I have studied many different routines over the years and love some great performances by René Lavand and Mahdi Gilbert. But to be frank, I wouldn't say I liked the plot of Oil & Water.

In 2009, Tom changed my mind forever. That was "Oiater," a short and clever "Oil and Water" routine with a hidden bold Deck Separation at the climax, based on an innovative idea by John Carney (appeared in his classic "The Carneycopia.")

The routine is very well structured, easy, and effortless to perform. The decks seem to be well mixed by all accounts. It is a more sophisticated and streamlined routine than the routine described in Tom's lecture notes from 2009, which I bought.

The explanation is easy to understand, and you can be performed this routine as shown by Tom. An additional video about the reverse spread will benefit some of you.

By all means, watch Tom's performance first. If you do not know this routine, Tom will fool you BADLY.

Price tag, 13 dollars would be a bargain price. What do you have to lose???I highly recommend this routine.

Great trick from a great guy

I just bought Oiater and I am very happy. I am not a finger-flinger type and difficult sleights are beyond me. This trick does not require that skill level. I think the overall effect builds with solid revelations until the stunning conclusion. I don't think a layman will expect the ending. Tom is a great magician and a very nice guy and this trick is well worth the price.

Simply brilliant!!!

The routine has a casual look and feel with each phase building off the previous. ...and no one ever sees the ending coming! Well, designed practical magic! Great job once again Tom! You're simply brilliant!
