A beautiful, custom printed ESP Deck on robust resilient stock, each Darkwave ESP card features a traditional ESP symbol (in Red or Black), a random word and a baroque image. Cool. dark, and unique

As a collector of ESP related decks and props, as soon as I saw this was coming out, I contacted BBM, and was able to purchase it. It is different, weird, and very cool. First, they are marked in an easy to read manner, but not so easy as to draw suspicion from lay folk. Also, the information you get from the markings allows you reveal a lot more info than just the symbol; you can reveal the color (red or black), the symbol, the picture shown on the card (most lean toward the dark side, but not all), and the seemingly random word to go with the picture. It is like an entire cold reading package with each individual card. And I believe that's exactly what these were created for. I really like these cards, and am happy to suggest anyone check them out if you like either ESP effects, or cold reading utilizing ESP cards. Well done, BBM, well done.

Awesome idea

I really like this deck. The backs are very subtle so you can see the info you need but the spectator won't work it out. The extra information that you reveal is very cleverly created. It builds a genuine performance as you gradually receive all the details from the participant. I highly recommend this.

Best ESP deck I own...just not the best choice of imagery

This is one smart ESP deck. It's been cleverly engineered by Adam and BBM so you have countless hits at your fingertips with a single card. And all with little to no memory work. Bravo! My only slight frustration is the imagery itself. Not because it's 'too dark' as I've seen a few others complain. More that choosing overtly paranormal/horror imagery to accompany ESP - something so tied up in most people's mind with the strange, paranormal and eerie - lacks nuance. I'd have liked the opportunity to be able to slow-build the strange and eerieness of ESP, but when you have cards that show an alien or devil, your audience is rather being hit over the head with it. Other images like 'rat' work much better as they aren't quite as overt. Images that perhaps add to that atmosphere without screaming it from the rooftops would, in my opinion, only add to what's otherwise a really wonderful ESP. I hope there's a sequel!

A very powerful tool, but not suitable for everyone

I've always been interested in ESP effects, and this deck is packed with arguably the most impressive range of features you'll ever find in an ESP deck, especially the marking system. It's a very powerful tool and you can do an enormous amount with this. But personally I found it a little too thematically "dark". Many of the cards have apocalyptic and even religious overtones that I'm uncomfortable with (e.g. Exorcist, Satanic, Devil, Ouija, Crucifix, Horsemen). This is combined with sinister artwork that borders on the disturbing. There may be contexts in which this will work, but this very dark focus limits its practicality. I may be in the minority, but unfortunately this is just not for me.
