The Rub A Dub sleight - where a card is apparently thumbed from the deck only to be shown as vanished moments later - is a classic bit of card chicanery. It's a (rare) move that actually happens under direct scrutiny... and that makes it a powerful piece of eye candy magic. But if you're only using this as a brief throwaway 'moment of magic', you're totally missing out on a WEALTH of magical opportunity. Enter Chris Mayhew.

We have been HUGE fans of Chris for years. A wicked sense of humour married to slick commercial magic and fresh, exciting ideas makes them our kind of people. And today Chris is taking out another weapon from their arsenal, exclusively for you - the BBM community.

‘The Rub A Dubstep’ sleight is the classic ‘Rub A Dub Vanish’ but supercharged to the MAX. Chris has made it infinitely more powerful by removing it from the deck and allowing you to just hold the card at your fingertips. The attractive thing is that in doing so he’s made the sleight more adaptable to different situations while STILL keeping it easy to learn and execute.

In this download project Chris will teach you this new ‘Rub A Dubstep’ sleight and then show you how to employ it as a Vanish, but also a control, a switch and a steal. Then he'll walk you through two killer routines and a truly beautiful way to use it with a napkin or tablecloth that we all love!

This project is just like Chris - fun, commercial and likely to make you break out in a grin! The ‘Rub a Dubstep’ is a move just as good for a working magician as it is for a move-monkey.

With this one move you can now make one or more cards vanish, fuse two cards into one, steal or switch one or more cards as you place them on the table - AND MORE.

We’re happy to welcome Chris into the BBM family with this release and we’re excited for you to see it. And remember, this is a BBM Exclusive - you can only learn this HERE!

A new take on a sleight and ideas

Chris is funny and careful in his explanations. You are getting much more than the basic sleight with a number of ideas for its use, this is a bargain. Happy to see Chris as part of the bbm group.

Perfect blend of sleight, humor, and routine

Mayhew hits it out of the park with this one! It is very obvious that they have put immense time and dedication into this move to create something truly extraordinary. Chris gives enough detail, combinations, uses and starter conversation pieces to run an entire routine off this single download. Super excited that Big Bling worked with Chris to get this released!

Immediately Useful

This takes such a simple idea to the next level and makes it a powerful tool. I'm always impressed by Chris's work and his ability to create useful routines that are outside of the box. Every idea here feels like it was right there waiting to be noticed. These are ideas that you can start using right away and immediately got my creative gears turning! I've been doing this move wrong my whole life.

P.S
He has a really cool wristwatch.
