Dead Rebel Magic is back with a new and dark take on the classic Out Of This World!

Simon teaches you the classic 'Out of This World' card effect, where a spectator deals a deck into piles and somehow separates the reds from the blacks... but things are a bit different. Angels and Demons includes a specially printed, full pack of picture cards - 26 heavenly angels, and 26 demonic devils. The art is spectacular, the cards great quality, and the storage tin (with a clever ambigram that reads 'Angels and Demons' either way up) make it a practical piece of bizarre magic / mentalism.

The cards can also be used most (if not all) variations of Out Of This World, and other routines will occur too - perhaps a 'cutting the Aces' where the spectator chooses the only four Angels from a packet of Devils, or an Oil and Water where the Angels 'Rise Above' and the Demons are 'Down Below'...

Great set of cards for Out of This World

Dead Rebel has created a wonderful set of cards themed to angels and demons. Each illustration is unique with different shading on every card allowing a face up spread that looks genuine. There are many Out of This World routines available on the web. This deck allows a beautiful alternative to a standard card trick version that makes it unique and interesting.

High Impact Cards

Perfect cards for performances. Audience is hooked as soon as I take them out of the box. They enjoy looking through the cards and shuffling them as I explain my version of Larry Hass's OOTW, "Angel Seekers/Demon Hunters" or "Demon Hunters/Angel Slayers" depending on the mood. They add to the atmosphere of the trick. They also love looking at the cards that were chosen AFTER the trick as well. This inspection of the cards BEFORE and AFTER the trick adds to the overall impact. These cards can add so much to the performance, especially with more than one person choosing, as everyone comments on which ones they like. These cards WILL add so much to an otherwise black or red routine. You can do more to add to your performance to stretch out the time of this trick if you want to by letting them go through the cards since they are clean and you don't need deck order in Larry's version. GET THESE CARDS!!!! My only recommendation would be to add a few more cards with subtle color, as those really pop. Just a couple more. Thank you Dead Rebel. Will be getting more of your stuff.

A very handy tool for those with a bizarre streak

Excellently produced cards, very high quality. Useful for not only “out of this world” type presentations but oil and water and any ‘separation’ style of effect. I’m very sure I will find several uses for these cards.

Unfortunately more demonic than angelic.

Many thanks for the Angels and Demons cards but I have got to say I cannot use them for the purpose they were designed for. I love performing Out of this World, it has got to be without doubt the number one card demonstration in all magic, and in recent years I have turned to entertaining with bizarre magic. To my mind these cards would have been the ideal answer, but unfortunately, the cards themselves were a real letdown. On two counts, one when spreading the cards out your participant is not easily able to differentiate the angels from the the demon cards and visa versa. If all he angel cards were the same, and all the the demon cards were also all the same, this would have been so much better. The second point, is if the back design had a small marking so the performer could see the difference between the angels from the demons, this would have been a great help for other Out of this World routines. This is only a small matter though, and this can easily be done myself. But as I say the cards as they are I am not going to be able to use them. As a side note, I have been in touch with ‘Printing by Magic’ with the view of making a deck of cards up for my own personal use in the way the cards should have been designed with simplicity for use. Sorry to be so judgemental, but you did ask for a review.

Change the Design

The pictures are good. I did not really like the design of the backs - I would rather that they were bidirectional and should have borders that match the faces. Also, I will agree with another reviewer that there should be pip markings on the faces - like black A for Angles and red D for demons.
